Police stopped the protesters when they tried to go to the Jamuna through Ramna Park to demand an increase in the number of posts in the 44th BCS.
On Monday (June 30, 2025), around 1:30 pm, protesters tried to block the road by exiting the 'Arunoday' gate of Ramna Park, demanding a raise in their posts. However, the police immediately removed the protesters.
Ramna Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Masud Alam, who was present at the scene, said, "It was not right to protest like this. They violated Section 144. They have been removed."
Meanwhile, the protesters say, "Despite repeated attempts, we have not received any cooperation from the government. So we are forced to try to come in front of the Yamuna. Our backs are against the wall."
They also said that the results of 44 BCS are scheduled to be announced today. There are about three and a half lakh vacancies in various government departments. Due to the lack of manpower in these posts, the people are not getting proper services. People have to go from office to office again and again to get the same service. Due to the lack of manpower in the police and administration, the government is struggling to maintain law and order. Due to this, the economy is being damaged in many ways. Some posts have been increased before the results of almost all the BCS exams in the past. But this time, even though everything is ready, it is not being implemented for unknown reasons.
