Two people have died of COVID-19 in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 18 people have been found to be infected with the virus. 312 samples have been tested and the virus has been identified in their bodies.
This information was provided in the regular press release on Corona sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (June 17).
It said that with 18 new cases of COVID-19, the total number of patients in the country has reached 20,051,876. Along with this, 29,506 people have died of COVID-19 in the country so far.
Earlier yesterday (June 16), 25 people tested positive for coronavirus after testing 231 samples. One person died of the virus that day.
The total detection rate since the beginning of the pandemic is 13.05 percent. And the detection rate in the last 24 hours is 5.77 percent.
Incidentally, the first three cases of coronavirus were detected in the country on March 8, 2020. Ten days later, on March 18 of that year, the first death from the virus occurred in the country. The highest number of deaths from coronavirus occurred on August 5 and 10, 2021, with 264 people dying each day.
