The heat in the market for vegetables is not decreasing, and the same is true for meat. Like last week, the products are being sold at higher prices this week as well.

On Saturday (July 5), a visit to the market in the capital's Rampura area showed that vegetables were being sold at the same price as before. Green chillies were being sold at 160 taka per kg, betel leaves at 80 taka, papaya at 40 taka, betel leaves at 80 taka, kankrol at 90 taka, carrots at 160 taka, cucumbers at 80 taka, dhundul at 80 taka, brinjal at 80 to 100 taka, and bitter gourd at 100 taka per kg. Among these, the price of patol has decreased slightly. Patol is being sold at 50 taka per kg.

On the other hand, meat prices are also on the rise. Broiler chicken is being sold at 170 to 180 taka per kilogram, which was 140 to 150 taka last week. In addition, golden chicken is being sold at 320 to 330 taka per kilogram, and layer chicken is being sold at 330 to 350 taka per kilogram.

On the other hand, the prices of cow and mutton in the market remain the same as last week. Beef is being sold at 780 taka per kilogram. Mutton is being sold at 1,100 to 1,200 taka.

Aminul Hossain, a shopper at the market, said, "The prices of everything only increase, not decrease. Even if the price of one thing decreases, the price of another increases. There is no way to shop with a little peace of mind."
