Iran has used a new type of missile in its attack on an Israeli intelligence center, claiming that the missile used in the attack was "undetectable."
Tehran also claimed that the missile was able to penetrate multiple layers of air defense systems, Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday (June 17).
Iran's Defense Ministry said it used a new type of "undetectable" missile in its attack on an Israeli intelligence facility, which it claimed was capable of penetrating multiple layers of air defense systems.
"In today's attack, we used missiles that cannot be tracked or intercepted," Defense Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Reza Talay-Nik said in a statement to Iran's state news agency IRNA.
He said the attack was completely unexpected for the Israelis and they would see more such attacks in the future.
Iran previously said its missile attacks targeted an Israeli military intelligence center and Mossad planning office.
"The Zionist government is not prepared for a long war. Our military has some advanced technologies that have not yet been put to use," Talaei-Nik added.
